Backing Up Navigation Menu

The steps below will allow you to make a copy of your navigation menu. By creating a second Nacelle space, you can import your current navigation and create a "snapshot" of your current menu. 

As the name implies this snapshot is a copy of the navigation menu as it currently exists. Any changes to either menu will be independent. You can however, perform another import to ensure that the backup is updated.  

  1. Start by logging to your Nacelle account.

  2. On your organization's home page you should see a list of spaces. Select "Add Space."

  3. Give you new space a name.

  4. In your newly created space visit the Navigation page, and select "Import/Export Navigation."

  5. Select "Import data [...] from," and in the dropdown men select your original space.

If you need to restore your menu from the backup this can be done by:

  1. Visiting the original space.

  2. Navigating to the Navigation page.

  3. Select the "Import/Export Navigation" option.

  4. Selecting "Import," and then choosing the backup space.
